After replacing or recovering operating system for a computer, the disconnected device(s) are not shown in the Device Manager. This prevents the uninstalling of the device(s) which may clog the system causing to run sluggish. The removal is necessary after implementing Acronis Universal restore. See View disconnected devices in Device Manager

Caution though, it is not certain to read through layer of sub folders. Therefore one

should direct the target to the last sub folder of the driver in question. N.B. Proprietor drivers
e.g. Dell, HP, etc self-executable compressed files should be unzip to folder first before  preinstallation process could locate and install the drivers first to avoid the bluescreen problem. This normally a call for the correct chipset drivers to be ready for Universal Restore/Add to search drivers step.

Also select "start your computer by using the Last Known Good Configuration feature in Windows XP" if booting screen appears.
