The Blogger Backup utility doesn't support template backing or restore. You can do that via Blogger itself.

As for restoring content, sure this utility can backup the posts from one site and restore it to another (that's how I do most of my restore testing... I backup from my main blog and restore it to another...). But please understand that you can only do 50 posts a day per blog (i.e. restore 50 posts a day). This is a limit imposed by Google/Blogger and there's no work around for it.

I hope this helps,
Greg

The Blogger Backup utility has been used to use it to backup up the 2,800+ posts by Greg (The Producer). As long the blog is online and has a public feed or you have the user account and password.

The Blogger Backup utility does not "Split" posts by label. You'd have to do this manually. Open the posts, look at their labels, etc.

The Blogger Backup utility does not upload (restore) posts with one set of labels to one blogger blog and another set to another blogger blog. You'd have to do this manually
Open the posts, figure out which ones have which labels, and back those up. Greg like the idea behind this and will add this as a feature in a future release.

The Blogger Backup utility does not dump or hide original blogger account. Account/Blog management has to be done via Blogger directly.

Yes, post formatting is included in the backed up and restored posts.
