Portable Applications are usually designed either be created to run off a specific platform such as Ceedo or U3, or made to run as stand-alone applications. Thinstall is an Application Virtualization Platform that enables complex software to be delivered as self-contained EXE files which can run instantly with zero installation from any data source. The core of Thinstall VS is the Virtual Operating System, a small light-weight component which is embedded with each “Thinstalled” application.
The Thinstall Virtualization Suite has seems to be able to provide functionality for everyone from the System Admin with its ability to create MSI files to the average desktop user with the desire for portable applications. Nothing to install, no admin rights need, and no traces of anything left behind. These stand-alone applications are typically accessed by directly launching the program, or by a light-weight menu called PStart that sits in your system tray.

I used thinstall for a while, but since I needed to make something more flexible I tried to find another product. Currently I'm trying BoxedApp (boxedapp dot com). Does anybody have info about it?
