Change the name of a user on XP

TuneUp Utilities
TuneUp System Control
User Logon/Automatic Logon
Tick Enable automatic logon
Type in your new user name
Type in your new Domain Apply/Ok
Do not reboot if asked
Then click System on the Administrator menu
Type in the same new user name in Windows Registration
Type in the same new user name in Windows Installer-user data Reboot

Not Done Yet!! Windows Explorer will not change and that the directory \ Documents and settings continue to display a folder in the user name OldUser. The Log Off will still bears the previous username.

Log into the Administrator account: 
For this close your current session and once on the home screen made 2 times CTRL + ALT + DELETE 
Create an account "NewUser" with administrator privileges by opening the module User Accounts in Control Panel. Alternative TuneUp Utilities/TuneUp System Control User Logon/Automatic Logon 
Untick Enable automatic logon 
 Reboot and type Administrator 
Click ok to continue 

Log off Administrator then open your new session NewUser. Log off and then log back on the Administrator account. 
With the right mouse button click the My Computer icon and then click Properties. 
Click the Advanced button in the user profile section. 
 Select the name of your old account (OldUser!). 
Click the Copy button. 
Click the Browse button and select the new folder: \ Documents and Settings \ NewUser. 
Click OK then validate the message warning you that the previous information will be lost. 
 Tick to the rest and then logoff 
Log on by typing NewUser to the account NewUser to verify that everything works. 
Remove the previous Users Accounts in the Control Panel. Choose to delete all files related 

 Go to TuneUp Utilities/TuneUp System Control User Logon/Automatic Logon 
Tick Enable automatic logon 
Tick Logon automatically after logoff 
Reboot and Windows will automatically Log on to the account NewUser/New user name.
 Verify that everything works.
 Remove the previous Users Accounts in the Control Panel. Choose to delete all files related
