PeerBlock is a type of program known as an "IP Blocker" (Wikipedia article). IP addresses (Wikipedia article) are used to identify a computer whenever it connects to the internet.
PeerBlock lets you control who your computer "talks to" on the Internet. By selecting appropriate lists of "known bad" computers, you can block communication with advertising or spyware oriented servers, computers monitoring your p2p activities, computers which have been "hacked", even entire countries! They can't get in to your computer, and your computer won't try to send them anything either.
And best of all, it's free!Whenever you are downloading be sure to have some protection like "PeerBlock" PeerBlock is a new version (aka a "fork") of the popular Peer Guardian 2 software. It blocks "known bad" computers from accessing yours, for example governments, corporate entities, and those flagged for anti-p2p activities. Peer Block maintains the functionality of the original Peer Guardian 2 program, but includes fixes for various issues that remain unaddressed in the latest (~2 year old) version of PG2.

Issue One(Resolved): Unable to connect to streamyx connection

Upgraded firmware, and reconfigured WL950RT4.
The WL950RT4 new version changes the WL950RT4 IP address from 192.168.1.254 to 10.0.0.x, andt detects an IP conflicts with the Riger.
Issue Two( Resolved): Wireless Network Says Connected But No Webpages
A flaw in Setup Wizard in the wireless router Model: WL950RT4 Security key does not register. Configuration Homepage does not portray Security key.
Thank Craven Lim for directing to reset security key under wireless/security tab. May have to repeat until Configuration Homepage does portray Security key. Note: 128 Bits WEP key type is ASCII with 13 characters in alphabet & numbers.
Issue Three ( Resolved)): Cannot access 192.168.1.254 Log in Authentication page with second unit Aztech Model:WL950RT4. Retype in browser address bar 10.0.0.2

View disconnected devices in Device Manager
Uninstalling driver of disconnected devices in Device Manager
After replacing or removing hardware from a computer, the device(s) are not shown in the Device Manager. This prevents the uninstalling of the device(s) which may clog the system causing to run sluggish. The removal is especially necessary after implementing Acronis Universal Restore.
Remedy:
Click Start > Run...
Type cmd into the Open: textbox.
Click the OK button.

Type set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1 at the command prompt. Enter
Type devmgmt.msc at the command prompt. Enter
Type exit & Click the Enter button
Leave the command prompt window open until all is done at the Device Manager.

In Device Manager:
Click View > Show hidden devices from the menu.
----------------------------------------
Click on the + to expand the hardware type of the device that was removed.
Identify the removed hardware item(s).
These devices will appear lighter in color, or gray.
----------------------------------------------
Right Click on the removed hardware item.
Left Click on Uninstall from the menu.

Confirm Device Removal dialog:
Click the OK button.

After all of the removed hardware item(s) have been uninstalled,
Close the Device Manager.
Then, Close Command Prompt. Type exit & Click the Enter button

A regularly used program can have a shortcut created to it by pinning the program icon to the Start menu. Pinned program icons appear on the left side of the Start menu, above the horizontal line. Right-click the program icon you want to pin to the Start menu, and then click Pin to Start Menu.
